ACS Security a Member of My ALarm Center: Alarm Technician + Benefits + Take Home Vehicle

Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and service a variety of alarm products to residential homes and commercial businessesLocate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment and wiringReadjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operationPrepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairsCoordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agenciesPerform extensive programming on alarm and CCTV systemsMount equipment; test existing equipmentDemonstrate equipment functions and usage to customersReview work orders and accurately implement products and servicesUtilize and interpret location maps, blueprints, and schematic drawingsVerify customer has a solid understanding of how products are used for safetyMaintain company vehicle; update truck inventory daily in lieu of work orders, replenish stock when needed, keep vehicle organized and cleanMaintain hand tools in good working order, specifically company issued toolscomplete installations using a variety of computer programs and appsWork under general supervision and independently at multiple customer sites dailyOther duties as assignedExperience and Requirements:6 months of experience in the construction or a related field CA drivers licenseSkills:Basic knowledge of working with Microsoft Word and Excel and payroll software and ability to learn other software and applicationsHand and power toolsLow voltage background is preferredJob Competencies:Ability to function as a member in a team-based environmentProficient verbal communication skills when interacting with customers, outside sales representatives, coordinators, and management in a professional mannerÂProficient written communication and documentation skillsAbility to maintain a professional demeanor/appearance while interacting with clients and the general publicStrong problem solving, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to use software and applicationsAbility to follow strict written and verbal directions and rulesDedication to high-quality customer service deliveryBasic math skillsMust  be able to meet deadlinesMust conduct all work with a high level of integrity and trust, upholding the companys ethical and professional standardsMaintain a professional appearance including wearing safety equipment and cleanliness of uniformAbility to adapt to a dynamic work environmentPhysical Requirements:Regularly required to sit, walk, and stand for multiple hoursClimb and ascend stairs, bend, crawl and stoop as required, will Climbs ladders and maneuvers in attic spaces, residential homes, and commercial locationsHear sounds at normal speaking levels, in person, and on the phoneSpeak including expressing and exchanging information, in person and on the phonePerform duties such as reading and preparing written documents, viewing security monitors and information on a phoneStrong hand/eye coordinationClose vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focusConstant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping items, using a phone, writing notes, texting/ typing on a phone and standard equipment, and other administrative tasksConstant mental alertness and attention to detail while workingUse hands repetitively to operate standard office equipmentReach with hands to lift, carry and/or move items weighing up to fifty (50) poundsEducationHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)ÂAttend training classes as required by State Certification/Licensing functions
