Senior Financial Analyst – Plastic Pipe & Conduit

We are currently searching for a Senior Financial Analyst for our Plastic Pipe & Conduit Strategic Business Unit.

Reporting to the Plastic Pipe & Conduit Controller, this person will be responsible for the business in all aspects of planning, monthly/quarterly forecasting, reporting, and business decision support for designated businesses.

Relevant assumptions will be factored into the strategic business unit’s financial projections.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience.

Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform forecasting, analysis and month end close activities in timely and accurate manner.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Financial information in accordance with GAAP and Atkore policies Contribute to the monthly / quarterly forecast cycle ensuring sound assumptions are factored into the business unit’s financial projections.

Works with other functions to collect necessary inputs.

Provide weekly updates on performance to targets from a financial and pricing perspective.

Create and distribute daily, weekly and monthly business results related to SBU shipments, working capital metrics, weekly financial forecast for the current month and other key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the SBU.

Participate in monthly strategic business unit review summarizing results presented to the BU President and Vice President of Finance along with Site Plant Managers Partner with broader operations team to analyze strategic decisions such as capital deployment, site initiatives and cost improvement projects Partner with Plant Managers to provide financial support and guidance for their locations Analyze sales, cost and inventory data Partner with Atkore Business System team on validation of cost savings and process improvements Prepare and complete the month end financial close process including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate supplemental reporting templates and compliance reporting.

Prepare analysis for key commercial expenses including, but not limited to, freight expense, customer rebate programs and commissions.

Understanding and compliance with Atkore policies for accounting and internal controls.

Provide sound financial analysis and develop financial tools and models to support decision making within the business.

Prepares financial reports and statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system, consolidation and reporting system, and various subsystems in use at Atkore.

Analyze results and report variances against budget and expectations.

Recommend corrective actions as indicated by performance to meet P&L and working capital targets.

Partner with broader financial team to facilitate standardization of financial reporting, planning, and analysis.

Provide analytical and reporting support at product-line and customer level.

Participate in key business initiatives, perform benchmarking and other ad-hoc projects as necessary All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Certified Public Accountant a plus Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience Candidate must have strong aptitude for financial analysis Experience with Oracle products such as JD Edwards, Essbase and HFM a plus Possess a mindset for continuous improvement and process re-design Excellent leaderships skill and demonstrate an ability to effectively work cross-functionally with individuals in and outside of Accounting/Finance Demonstrate an executive presence when interacting with senior level personnel Proficient with Microsoft Office products, advance excel is a plus Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Experience with manufacturing and Lean principles (Gemba walks, Kaizens, etc) is a plus.

Capacity to perform at a high level in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
