The Music Center is one of the largest and most highly regarded performing arts centers in the country and we have openings for Armed Security Officer (Full-time) $17.00-$20.25 per hour

Starting Salary & Career Growth Opportunities for our Armed Officers:

• $17 .00 – $20.25 (Dependent upon Experience & Qualifications)
• Early morning ( Graveyard ) Officers qualify for 7½ % shift differential pay
• Opportunities for career growth & pay increases up to $20 .25 for Officers, up to $24.75

• for Sergeants, and up to $27.00 for Lieutenants.

Job Requirements:

We currently have full time opportunities on all shifts; however, all candidates must be willing to work any and all shifts assigned no exception.  

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be 21 yrs. of age and must have a minimum of a High School Diploma
• Must be eligible to qualify for a California Guard Card
• Must be eligible to qualify for a California Firearm & Baton permits
• The BSIS firearms permit requirements page
• Must be able to qualify for 1^st Aid & CPR certifications
• Prefer 1-2 years previous security, public safety or customer service experience, or equivalent as determined by the Music Center.
• and/or GED, or 2-years of successful college level study. (proof of completion is required)
• Must pass an intensive 10-year background check, including DMV and criminal history.
• Must pass a 10-panel chemical screening

Skills & Qualifications: 

• This is a high-profile position; only the best candidates should apply.  
• Position may require running or standing for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift). 
• Successful candidates must be in good physical condition.
• They should be able to work in all environments and on all shifts, including holidays & weekends, especially July 4^th and New Year’s Eve. 
• Strong professional customer service skills, as well as communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.  

All on-the-job and all other approved training, including State re-certification fees, are paid by the Music Center.  Officers additionally receive an annual $600 Uniform Allowance.

 VACCINATION POLICY

The Music Center requires its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to certain exemptions as required by law.  New hires working at The Music Center must be fully vaccinated no later than 60 days after hire and until they are fully vaccinated will be required to submit weekly proof of negative laboratory COVID-19 test and submit to additional masking and social distancing requirements. Please contact The Music Center’s Human Resources Department for a copy of the vaccination policy.

SALARY:

Commensurate with experience.  This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position; compensation package includes health and welfare benefits, paid vacation, and sick days, 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
