We are seeking full-time Licensed Vocational Nurses for day and night shifts in a very busy acute psychiatric/inpatient detox unit.

Must be available to work three rotating 12-hour shifts per week as needed.

We will rely on you to:

Assist in formulating plans and deliver nursing assessments and interventions

Administer medications, assesses effectiveness and monitor for side effects

Educate patients on the medical aspects of treatment

Complete pre-admission triage and determine medical/nursing appropriateness of admission

Document patient progress and treatment and communicate significant changes in condition

Job Requirements:

Requirements

 Graduate of an accredited LVN or LPT school or college

 Licensed to practice in California

 Current CPR card

 Experience in a behavioral/chemical dependency setting required

 Chemical dependency/dual diagnosis experience preferred

 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual preferred

 Computer literacy
