The Neurodiagnostic Lab compliments Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Neuroscience division.

Our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit is a Level IV Epilepsy Center, utilizing state of the art video monitoring equipment with a dedicated staff of Neurologists and Neurodiagnostic technologists.

Overview Role Purpose The Electroneurodiagnostic Technician II performs a variety of neurological testing including routine digital EEG, video EEG, electrocorticography, and evoked potentials.

Assists with long term monitoring.

Responsibilities Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results.

Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories.

Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations.

Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs.

May precept or train new technicians.

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
