The duties to be performed by the Power Business Intelligence Developer will include The business intelligence developer will be responsible for developing new and modifying existing dashboards, reports, and views which support the LAPD reportingrequirements for various Department projects. Thedeveloper will providerecommendations on how to utilize Power BI to accomplish those reporting requirements. Leveraging their technical knowledge, the developer will design, develop, and implement analyticalsolutions. Responsibilities for the Power Business Intelligence Developer bull Conceptualize and develop dashboards, reports and user interface requirements “‘ Understand, identify, acquire,and analyze data from multiplesources to streamline the delivery of information across the enterprise bull Effectively communicate and interact with various Department personnel and organizations and, bull Developer must be able to work on-site on a regular basis. Required Skillset The business intelligence developer must have extensive experience in Microsoft Power BI to understand, identify, acquire, and analyze data from multiple sources to streamline the delivery of information across the enterprise. The developer should also have experience with Power BI installation, configuration and administration. Additional qualifications include bull Minimum of 5 years of experience bull Experience in troubleshooting production issues and data analysis Ii Strong knowledge of data warehouse design, dimensional modeling and data mining bull Ability to work with Department personnelin defining report needs and requirements bull A team player with strong communication skills bull bull Experience with Power BI data visualization tools, complex reports, dashboards and data modeling bull Knowledge of Power BI data querying and modeling capabilities, such as creation of calculated columns, measures and relationships bull Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and remediation capabilities and, bull Thorough implementation of solutions, including data gathering, proof-of-concept, testing, and validation.
