Job Description: Lilac is seeking a Director of Engineering Studies to manage feasibility studies in coordination with external engineering firms.
This person will oversee feasibility study work (FEL 1-3) on multiple lithium brine projects with capital costs up to one billion dollars.
This person may travel for approximately 8 weeks per year across the US, South America, and Europe.
This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities: Manages relationships with engineering firms Coordinates feasibility studies for lithium brine projects Works closely with R&D and pilot teams on test work requirements Transitions feasibility studies into project execution Candidate Requirements: B.S.
in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 10 years of experience working directly for or with engineering firms to complete FEL 1-3 studies for large capital projects in mining, metals, chemicals, and/or water treatment industries 3 years of experience in EPC project execution Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, and follow up skills to ensure successful achievement of project goals and objectives Highly organized with sharp attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, teaming and communication skills, both oral and written Passion for sustainability Excited to work on an ambitious fast-moving startup team US work permit
