Senior Director Marketing – Global Industrial

JOB SUMMARY The Senior Director of Marketing – Global Industrial role will provide leadership, direction and resource management to the global Industrial marketing team.

This position will be charged with developing, communicating and executing on the vision, brand and solution, and building presence within our target markets through channel and product marketing campaigns.

This position is also responsible for leading a team that ensures that the visual presentation of the Generac brand, products and services, are compelling, customer-focused, and aligned with business goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Establishes and drives vision and strategy for the team to lead an aggressive and comprehensive Marketing & Sales strategy to support the company’s objectives and business plans, including consistent growth and profitability through the lead and nurturing teams Work directly with all Business Group Marketing leaders in developing solutions that target specific customers’ needs and growth opportunities in the marketplace Create and constantly improve processes that drive and optimize marketing and lead generation productivity Defines and monitors internal and external teams’ performance metrics and reports.

Provides critical feedback and develops action plans to ensure performance targets are met through the continuous improvement process for both internal teams as well as external contact center partnerships.

Measure results and respond accordingly using measurements common to support teams and creates useful data to formulate opinion and support results.

Working with the CMO to drive innovation in Industrial focused marketing and sales processes while insuring alignment with corporate strategy and standards.

Leverage internal resources from the corporate marketing shared services team for successful program launches Designs and directs the work of the functional area.

Selects, coaches and develops the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team.

Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning and development.

Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered and performance is systematically improved.

Provides staff with expectations, inspires and motivates staff, conducts performance reviews, rewards team members, provides feedback and coaching as needed, and administer progressive discipline when necessary.

Create and maintain an organizational culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement/commitment and a sense of urgency toward goals, and continuous improvement.

Leads, coaches, mentors and develops staff, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work with internal, external and work-from-home staff Designs, improves and implements programs, processes and services to enhance teams’ capabilities while working with our internal, cross-functional groups this includes but not limited to our sales enablement tools and platforms.

Establishes and implements short
– and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to drive cross functional alignment with compensation Create department strategy and articulate it to key stakeholders within the organization Incorporates Generacs customer focused values and concepts of quality into the determination, communication, review and continuous improvement of the teams’ functions and planning processes Handle escalated consumer calls when necessary to ensure top-notch customer satisfaction is provided MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Engineering or related field required OR 8 years Marketing experience in a similar working environment; 15 years of channel management, project management, creative services management and/or sales or business management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a matrix organization leading direct and indirect teams towards common goals and initiatives; Ability to work collaboratively across global geographies with various hierarchy and multiple functional areas, to insure standards, systems and long term vision are met for the regional business group and global business; Effective project management skills, strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills; Ability to act proactively, achieve deadlines and drive urgency; Demonstrated ability to champion change and influence and facilitate results in a complex organization; Master’s Degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and marketing plan in an entrepreneurial environment; Ability to optimize a marketing budget; Broad marketing skills
– mastery of lead generation and content product marketing techniques; Product marketing knowledge and understanding of the product development lifecycle; Strong leadership skills and a commitment to building a positive company culture; Proven ability to develop and grow a successful marketing team.
