Engineering Manager – Metal Filtration Group (MFG) The Engineering Manager will be responsible for quoting, designing, installing and servicing filtration systems for global aluminum cast house customers.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the preparation of technical proposals and commercial quotes.
· Accountable for delivery of MFG system projects on time and meeting customer expectations.
· Provide field technical support for filtration system application with expertise in molten metal processing and equipment design.
Coordinate support with other SELEE experts when needed.
· Develop new commercial designs and improvements.
· Direct and manage the work of relevant engineers and designers.
· Lead the preparation of product literature and documentation.
Qualification Requirements
· Minimum B.S.
degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Materials Science.
· Minimum of 5 years industrial engineering experience, preferably in molten metal processing or industrial equipment (combustion/electrical).
Demonstrated applicable accomplishments required.
· Requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers and to effectively manage direct reports.
· Extensive travel required including travel abroad.
· Excellent computer skills, proficiency in CAD software (both 2D and 3D preferred) and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
· Knowledge of PLCs.
· Comfortable with hands on work.
· Position based in Hendersonville, NC.
