WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Responsible for independently researching and processing adjustments relating to City National Banks’ Debit and ATM Cards.

Banking and Investment Services Division
As a member of City National’s Banking & Investment Services group, you will be part of the essential central operations and back-end hub for all of the bank’s lines of business.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Process Non-Proprietary Fee waiver and Surcharge Fee waiver requests. Requests are reviewed for accuracy and proper approval. Card records are reviewed to ensure cards are in open status. Fee waivers updated on the system in addition to updates to the Master Access file.
  • Answer customer calls
  • Process and respond to incoming operational email requests.
  • Research and process suspect transactions performed at our ATMs. Research and process Star Adjustments. Research is performed using STAR reports retrieved through Star Station.
  • Daily review of various bank controls including identifying entries to the bank controls researching unrecognized entries and clearing accordingly by working with the fraud group to clear. Occasionally FIS may be contacted for research.
  • Research requests from the fraud review group to resolve Reg E claims (ATM claims for on-us transactions). Research is performed using reports 2000, FIS Cardbase, FIS Data Navigator and ATM data capture to determine if the client received the bills. Work with the branch to perform cash certifications. Forward the information to Reg E to complete the claim.
  • Allocation of Surcharges waived to requesting cost centers. The surcharge bank control is cleared daily by posting entries to the proper cost center. In addition to posting the entries this person is responsible for maintaining the access database (updating new cardholders and cost centers, providing NY with a monthly list, deleting purged and blocked records).
  • Review and allocate charges submitted by Star to the designated GLs. Maintain cost analysis details and identify new, quarterly, yearly and other expenses related to Reg E.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Minimum 2 years of financial services experience
  • Minimum 2 years of direct client service experience
  • Minimum 2 years of bank card operations or ATM experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Some College preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Customer Service oriented.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Organizational Skills.
  • Must be PC literate (e.g., Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Must be able to create Excel matrix using formulas.
  • Experience in basic accounting and reconciliation helpful.
  • Understanding of Automated Teller Machine (ATM)operations and reconciliation helpful.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and high volume environment.
  • Must be an analytical thinker, organized, follow procedures and able to make decisions independently.
  • Data input accuracy is crucial.
  • Knowledge using Star Station helpful.
  • Knowledge of Regulation “E” helpful.
