Director of Engineering, the Manager 2 Test & Evaluation Engineering is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic goals and objectives as applicable to T& E Engineering to supportoverall business objectives.

This includes the tools, process and resources for test planning, acquisition, processing and analysis of both subsystem and system level testing efforts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Coach and develop staff by providing an environment that encourages ongoing professional growth.

Ensure staff receives the appropriate training and skill development opportunities to be successful in their rolesTake lead responsibility for T& E Engineering issues.

Develop plans to resolve issues, communicate the plan, and advise Senior Management on progressProvides leadership and guidance in test execution, data analysis, and use of test instrumentation to meet test objectives and requirementsProvides guidance in design, development, and implementation of testing methods and equipment.

Proficient in the use of Logic Analyzers, Software Based Debugging tools, In-Circuit Emulators, RF Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal GeneratorsEnsures projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization’s established policies an d proceduresOptimize process changes; recommend use of technologies and processes to ensure alignment of operations initiativesAct as a resource to the department staff by providing guidance, interpretation, training and key input regarding operating procedures and processesEstablish strategic goals and objectives and maintain responsibility for engineering programs and objectivesManage the T& E Engineering departmentbudgetProvide resources for proposals; participate in proposalwriting as neededPerform performance appraisalsAddress employee administrative activities Support hiring activities, including creating job requisitions, interviewing, and making hiring decisions Work with Program Management to ensure programs are adequately and appropriately staffed Perform other duties as assigned.Roles and responsibilities can often be expanded to accommodate changing business conditions Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.Basic Qualifications:Current/active Secret clearance.BS degree in Engineering or related field.Minimum 9 years of engineering experience (or closely related field).Proven leadership experience on a technical project and/or team.Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.Salary Range: 127776 191664Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
