Manager, Content & Programming

Manager works with the senior management team at Motion Content Group, to assist in the daily operation of financing, producing, and distributing television shows and premium content.

Manager will manage daily schedules, presentation materials, contract drafts, production assets, and deal approval submissions, bringing operational efficiency to Motion’s US business unit.

You will liaise with Motion offices around the world, sister WPP companies, media networks, platform partners, producers, and other related parties to ensure Motion delivers clear communications and adheres to set deadlines.

The role reports to the head of Motion US.

YOUR IMPACT: * Participate in brainstorm sessions related to production, marketing, and distribution of our content across all platforms.* Contribute to the development of Motion shows, including format adaptation and packaging.* Liaise with Motion offices around the world with depts in business operations, programming, distribution, legal and business affairs.* Organize and manage US production files, including network deals, project drafts, legal, and budgets.* Manage internal pitch reports and submissions logs, updating on a regular basis.* Coordinate contracts with GroupM legal, Motion legal, and our outside firms.* Coordinate pitch materials, managing video upload links and cloud service accounts.* Create presentations and compile research.* Coordinate calendar—arrange meetings and conference calls.* Coordinate travel— booking flights, accommodation, ground transportation, etc.* Coordinate cost approvals— liaise with Finance dept for requisite approvals in travel, office, etc.* Coordinate partner and vendor relationships—work with Finance & People (HR) to onboard freelancers and consultants, confirm payments.* Prepare expense reports, following process through to payment confirmation.* Liaise with IT reps for software and technology issues.

QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 2 years of experience within the entertainment/content industry* Knowledge and excitement for pop culture* Direct experience with programming, production, development, business affairs, packaging, talent, social media, or agencies preferred* Excellent writing and communication skills* Time management skills, with the ability to multi-task* Detail oriented, problem solving ability* Strong organizational skills* Team player* Ability to handle confidential information* A high standard of personal integrity and commitment to business values and behaviors* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel* Proficient in presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote* Proficient in video conferencing software, such as Teams, Zoom, etc* Familiarity with video editing software considered a bonus, not required ABOUT MOTION CONTENT GROUP: We invest into content in partnership with the world’s leading talent, producers, networks and platforms, to produce and distribute long-form premium content.
