Description Position at ROC Pet Rehab ROC Pet Rehab is seeking a part-time Animal Care Assistant to join our Veterinary Rehab team Our Ideal Candidate Will be able to uphold and demonstrate our values

Will take initiative to enhance hospital function Has great customer service skills, and enjoys interacting with the public on a regular basis.
Must have great communications skills
– written and verbal Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week, the schedule will include a combination of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Job Duties Providing high quality, compassionate care to all patients Maintain animal husbandry Perform proper patient restraint Triage patients when needed Provide accurate information regarding patient care and education to the clients Assisting Customer Service Representative with phone calls when needed Accurately dispense medications Assist DVMs and LVTs with medication administration Assist with the set up of the surgical suite Assist with radiographs
– including patient restraint and developing Hospital maintenance and cleanliness of the facility
– indoor and outdoor Perform other duties as directed Job Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required, AAS or higher preferred Six months experience in customer service (with external customers) in a related field required, prior animal handling experience preferred Must be able to stand for extended periods
– some pushing pulling, bending, and stooping required Some lifting required
