Operations Manager

The operations manager leads with a focus on safety, quality, engagement, and continuous improvement.

You will advance a culture of safety through awareness, training, and accountability.

Your guidance will help other operations leaders achieve established standards of service, quality, and productivity.

You are accountable for engaging your team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance.

You will leverage a variety of key performance indicators, engagement tools, and other activities to understand what is working well and where to improve.

You will demonstrate strong leadership, the ability to communicate and address operational objectives, and the desire to equip your team with the necessary tools for success.

Through effective communication and frequent feedback your teams will improve with a clear understanding of goals, expectations, their roles in customer and company success, and shared accountability.

This job may require working nights and weekends Responsibilities Leads and treats associates respectfully and equally by promoting our core values in a team environment.

Leads and supervises a team of Shift Supervisors and associates in warehouse operations.

Ensures that customer orders are selected, assembled, and loaded according to established MDI procedures, standards, and expectations.

Ensures inbound orders are received according to established MDI procedures, standards, and expectations.

Works directly with transportation teams to ensure any load issues are handled timely and with minimal disruption to our customers.

Leverages KPIs across safety, engagement, and operational performance for continuous improvement.

Manages all relative expenses with special emphasis on damage control, labor, and supplies usage, in order to meet or exceed weekly budgets.

Provides input in establishing operations procedures and the tools necessary to support them.

Provides input to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.

Assists in formulating the operations budget for all warehouse activities; assists in the capital budget process.

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and company policies including OSHA, FDA, HACCP, FSMA, SQF, etc.

Reviews and ensures all safety, quality and productivity standards are achieved for operations.

Ensures all employees have been trained in safety, quality, and standard policies and procedures.

May be required to perform other job tasks as necessary.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required ; extended education preferred 5-10 years experience progressive warehouse/manufacturing Must have strong communication skills.

5-10 yrs Warehouse Management experience with increasing responsibilities.

Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements Highly proficient in computer usage, e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite Strong judgment and decision-making skills Presentation skills and comfortable speaking in a classroom/tour environmennt.

Dimensions: Supervises 5-6 salaried supervisors and several hourly employees cross functionally
