Workplace Event Security Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Netflix Security Operations is seeking a Workplace Event Security Coordinator to join our Los Angeles Security Operations dream team. This role will report into a Security Operations Manager and will partner with the Netflix Workplace Events team in a variety of onsite events including but not limited to meetings, employee/team happy hours, screenings, promotional shoots, and internal catering requests. This role requires an individual with a background in event coordination and a proven track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities:
- Provide adequate security staffing working with third party vendors to ensure Workplace Events are properly supported.
- Collaborate with Workplace Events Team to identify their event venue security needs; be the primary security point of contact throughout the event process
- Team with cross functional partners to ensure their on-site events are supported and successful
- Manage visitor access and support methods delegated by the Workplace Events Team
- Responsible for communicating security event best practices with colleagues
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging security challenges on the event day
- Assist in large team projects and own small projects as needed within the overall workplace
- Research security in the event industry and identify opportunities for innovation and creativity
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all colleagues, vendors and guests
- Participate in security and event related professional networking groups to implement current industry practices
Requirements:
- 3+ years of event security coordination experience at a large scale venue, preferably in hospitality or media/entertainment industry; SME in event management with a strong security background
- Project management experience and strong communication skills
- Ability to work across various levels of the organization while building trust and fostering collaboration
- A desire to be hands-on, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ability to think strategically, multi-task and lead several events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event needs; evenings and sometimes weekends
- Excellent customer service and with the ability to proactively address colleague needs before they request it
- Ability to work with talent and high level stakeholders
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

As a Professional Security Officer for Allied Universal you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client’s property and personnel. As the Allied Universal Security Officer, you will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.

- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Able to:
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
