We’re looking for someone to join our team as a Magnet Program and Shared Governance Manager who: Collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership, to provide leadership, direction, and coordination of the integration of Magnet Standards into the nursing and hospital infrastructure, including the creative systems, processes, shared decision making and clinical practices that improve patient care delivery. Assumes responsibility for attaining and maintaining the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet application, designation, and re-designation processes. Assumes operational oversight of the Shared Governance Program and councils. Facilitates development of shared governance and decision making, researches strategies, makes recommendations, facilitates education and training and mentors’ nurses for Shared Governance program. Essential Functions: Provides leadership and oversight to the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of Magnet program initiatives. Prepares application, designation, and re-designation documents for submission in compliance with ANCC requirements. Analyzes nursing quality data and collaborates with nursing leadership and Clinical Quality to assure that indicators meet/exceed Magnet standards. Serves as a content expert for concepts, practice and procedures, and integrates the Magnet standards into nursing practice. Demonstrates leadership in nursing through involvement in professional organization activities and committee involvement. Manages and facilitates all work and councils related to Shared Governance (including unit-based councils, house wide councils and system councils). Serves as liaison to AH Clinical Excellence Council; stays appraised of changes and revisions to Shared Governance work at the System level and participates in bi-directional communication processes to ensure alignment. Collaborates with nurse leaders in the development of nursing practice innovation and planned change through the work of Nursing Shared Governance Councils. Oversees the preparation of the Annual Report for Nursing. Oversees the preparation and submission of AH Nursing Symposium deliverables (surveys, posters, presenters, award recipients etc.). Coordinates meetings and records and distributes minutes. Researches governance issues (e.g., policies, positions) to inform decision-making committees. Participates in and drives other governance projects related to the Board and Committees. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
