Material Planner
– Crystal Lake Purpose of the Job: The Material Planner insures the supply of materials meet production schedules and stock levels to insure continuity in manufacturing.
Maintains strong relationships with outside suppliers, as well as internal.
Works under general supervision but is able to make decisions and deliver solutions independently.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions): In this role, you will determine correct supply of components to support weekly production schedule.
You will also implement, evaluate and sustain processes for on time delivery from suppliers.
Work with JDE MRP system to determine weekly demands and take action to prevent lack of material, which can result in line stoppage.
Understand and monitor integrity of Bills of Materials and Routings.
Ability to read and understand drawings.
Manage inventory levels and understand corrective measure to achieve desired metrics.
Participate in ISO audits and perform assigned tasks associated with those.
Create purchase orders and maintain desired inventory levels.
Monitor transactions, receipts and status of purchase orders.
Experience & Education: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience Good communication skills with awareness and understanding of impact on production, cost and customer satisfaction Ability to work in a dynamic changing environment, and quickly react to change Strong analytical and math skills Attention to detail Works well in a team environment Time management to prioritize work and eliminate non-value added work Advanced Microsoft skills desired, EXCEL, WORD, POWER POINT, JDE experienced preferred APICS training required 06022021
