Genesis10 is currently seeking a Researcher with our client in the SEO industry in their Playa Vista location.
This is a 6 month + contract position.
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced enterprise User Experience Researcher (UXR) who can work independently to support developer facing UX Research work.
Responsibilities:
The UXR will work closely with UX designers, engineers, and product managers, and other researchers, gaining insights from a variety of people who create digital games.
The UXR will own individual research projects, including designing, setting up, analyzing, and presenting results from usability tests, interviews, and surveys.
Understand study needs, create research plans, organize study materials, define respondent / participant criteria, and organize materials needed for research activities.
Analyze and report on data from research activities.
Summarize data from past research in new formats for various stakeholders.
Qualifications:
B.A./B.S.
(completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, HCI, or other fields emphasizing human behavior; M.A.
/ M.S.
preferred.
At least 2-3 years of industry experience working with xfn partners.
Solid understanding of and comfort with qualitative methods and foundational research.
Solid understanding of research ethics.
Demonstrated understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
Experience producing multiple reporting artifacts for diverse stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
Excellent organization skills and detail-oriented.
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
Desired:
At least one year experience conducting research on enterprise-facing products or experiences.
Familiar with the gaming industry.
Experience working on video games or related experiences, or a strong intrinsic interest in video games.
