Responsibilities
- Own and maintain battery manufacturing equipment and processes
- Design of manufacturing equipment; conveyance, lift assists, jig, fixtures, trolleys, etc.
- Diagnosis of breakdown then countermeasures across all systems to ensure future readiness.
- Responsible for continuous process optimization of robot, PLC and HMI.
- Spare part identification, cataloging and assignment of spare requirements.
- Lead and assist Production and Maintenance in all quality and process related topics and issues.
- Support and assist in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures.
- Develop maintenance equipment training programs and perform the training with operations teams
- Manage equipment suppliers through all phases of projects.
- Develop RFQs
- Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to vendors.
- Coordination with other process, mechanical, electrical and support disciplines including project managers, manufacturing reps, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in on-field construction and commissioning activities by serving as the point of contact for technical questions and real-time issue resolution.
- Draft qualification protocols and manage equipment qualification activities.
Requirements
- BS Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Minimum 3 years related experience in a technology based industry, where automated assembly techniques are utilized.
- Basic programming skills on Fanuc, KUKA or equivalent brands
- Industrial Engineering experience (layout, materials flow, etc.) working in high-volume assembly processes
- Experience introducing new equipment and new processes into a production environment
- Proficiency designing with AutoCAD 2D
- Travel required – 15%
