Commercial Lines Account Manager

TITLE: Client Manager – Commercial Lines (Commercial Lines Account Manager)
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
SALARY: $60,000-80,000 (Depending on experience, qualifications, and training)

SUMMARY
Provide and maintain excellent service to clients, and support commercial lines team and producers in processing all lines of commercial insurance in accordance with the agency guidelines and Agency Best Practices for service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Process renewals and incidental new business, cancellations, audits, and endorsement requests
* Responsible for accuracy of work delegated to support staff
* Supervise and, if necessary, issue certificates of insurance
* Create certificate guidelines form
* Initiate renewal meetings and be responsible for renewal process
* Negotiate coverages and premiums with carriers
* Provide producer and/or account executive with accurate renewal proposals
* Check policy coverages, endorsements and audits for accuracy
* Handle or delegate insureds’ and underwriters’ questions or requests
* Invoice policies, audits, endorsements, cancellations and other appropriate transactions
* Assist producer, accounting department and client in the reconciliation of client accounts
* Be responsible for account rounding
* Pursue a program for professional development consistent with your position
* Perform other specific duties as requested

* Maintain excellent communication, attitude and rapport with internal and external clients
* Must have the ability to utilize intuitive behaviors to work with various personalities and styles
* Apply problem solving techniques to various issues concerning cancellations, claims, renewal issues, audits, receivables, carrier issues
* Work with clients to become a ‘trusted advisor’ or ‘consultant’
* Adhere to commercial lines procedures
* Apply problem solving techniques to various issues that may arise with carrier and clients
* Work strategically with sales staff to optimize relationships and protect client’s business
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our partners, carriers and vendors
* Demonstrate good judgment when handling complex issues
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

* Education and/or Experience
* Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training.
Designations, Licenses
Must hold required insurance agent license and be responsible for maintaining such license through attendance at mandatory continuing education courses.
