COVID Desk RN Assistant Manager (Paramount)

Medcor is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work on a temporary basis as a COVID Desk Registered Nurse Assistant Manager located at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, CA. This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday with potential for occasional weekend and flexible hours. This position is temporary and will last 6 months with a possibility to extend.

RN Assistant Manager will provide various COVID-19-related support services and functions to Paramount and/or to Paramount’s parent company, ViacomCBS Corporations and/or its affiliated entities, and related productions and licensees, at Paramount’s sole option and discretion as outlined in the Medcor Studio Health Clinic Services Agreement and Production Health Services Proposal – COVID Desk. These services will be provided in compliance with Paramount COVID-19 applicable protocols and procedures. Assistant RN Manager will assist Manager to oversee, train, monitor and support the COVID Desk RN advocates, as well as provide shift coverage. This position will serve as the secondary point of contact with ViacomCBS and help ensure continuity in services.

Successful candidates will possess solid clinical skills, have at least two years” experience in Occupational Health, Public Health or applicable experience.

A typical day in the life of a COVID Desk Registered Nurse Assistant Manager

  • Participate and ensure compliance with the standard Paramount Vendor guidelines and procedures and the COVID-19 Vendor guidelines, which may be updated or revised by Paramount
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all other Paramount guidelines and procedures related to COVID-19, including gate pass entry requirements, which may be updated or revised by Paramount
  • Participate and comply with the Paramount COVID-19 testing program guidelines and procedures, which may be updated or revised by Paramount
  • Responsible for notifying Paramount immediately if assistant manager or RN advocates who are providing Services to Paramount or any affiliated entities in person at any Paramount/ViacomCBS location has tested positive for COVID-19 or been told that they/she/he are presumed to have COVID-19 as required by Paramount/ViacomCBS Protocols
  • Responsible to be informed of industry and CDC clinical and operating recommendations and guidance related to public health and safety regulations and laws, including those applicable to COVID-19
  • Responsible for assisting the Manager in coordinating with the Paramount representative with respect to protocols and procedures to ensure performance of the COVID-19 Support Services. Paramount shall be responsible for creating and updating the applicable COVID-19 protocols and procedures to be used as a basis for such services and for providing RN Manager and Assistant Manager with the most current protocols, procedures and COVID-19 plans so that RN Manager, RN Assistant Manager, and RN advocate are rendering such COVID-19 Support Services based on up-to-date Paramount policies.
  • Assist the Manager and ViacomCBS/Paramount to develop final workflows and scope in conjunction with Paramount representative for COVID-19 Desk policies, procedures, and training protocols for the RN advocate services outlined in the Medcor Studio Health Clinic Services Agreement and Production Health Services Proposal – COVID Desk and in compliance with Paramount COVID-19 applicable protocols and procedures
  • Assist the Manager in leading the team in providing client customer service according to Medcor’s Mission Statement
  • Assist the Manager to oversee, train, monitor and support the COVID Desk RN advocates, as well as provide shift coverage
  • Assist the Manager in working with Medcor Payroll department to oversee, train advocates, and monitor the ADP timekeeping system for advocates and complete bi-weekly payroll reporting for invoicing
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations. Provide retraining to RNs when necessary through one-on-one discussions or via communication notes to group
  • Provide RN advocates with all ViacomCBS procedure or protocol updates to provide primary focus of COVID-19 related clinical education, guidance, navigation, and administrative assistance
  • Coordinate and support individuals who reported to be positive for COVID-19 as directed by ViacomCBS
  • Support employees who respond “yes” to ViacomCBS’s “PASS” health screening questionnaires
  • Identify to ViacomCBS reportable quantity COVID-19 outbreaks and notify EHS representative who will complete reporting to agency (Based on ViacomCBS protocols)
  • Document all Medcor activity in the Veoci system provided by ViacomCBS
    • Provide reporting to authorized users about these activities
    • Coordinate training, access, and tech support for this system with ViacomCBS
  • Coordinate and field general calls across the business to answer general COVID-19 questions, company protocol questions, quarantine/isolation timing, travel and testing questions, etc. – all based on information and resources that ViacomCBS will provide
  • Coordinate the Virtual Triage referral with the employee to evaluate ViacomCBS employees for COVID suspected symptoms or illness as needed per ViacomCBS protocols
  • Coordinate the Virtual Return-To-Work COVID-19 Clearance Service with the employee to screen ViacomCBS employees for COVID return to work clearance as needed per ViacomCBS protocols
  • Coordinate Medcor physician consulting services with ViacomCBS/Paramount authorized representative as requested
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and ensure that all information is collected in accordance with local data privacy and confidentiality standards

You Must

  • Have valid unrestricted California RN license and current CPR/BLS certification
  • Have 2 years of clinical nursing in occupational health or public health nursing (Other relevant experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills (proficient with MS Office, navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc)
  • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
  • Be able to follow processes and procedures with excellence
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be good at prioritizing and multitasking
  • Be willing to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service
  • Love people and giving them the best care humanly possible
