Michael Kors is always interested in hearing from talented, globally-minded individuals with a passion for fashion.If you enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment, then we would love to hear from you!Inventory Control SupervisorDepartment: CA DistributionLocation: Whittier, CAShift: 2The Supervisor of Inventory Control will support the Manager of Inventory Control in the overall daily operations of the Inventory Control Department, including maintaining accuracy of stock, its updates and all related controls, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close responsibilities (month end and quarter end), assist in coordination of cycle counts/physical inventories in the Distribution Center, coordination with internal and external auditors for periodic reviews and SOX compliance, support all corporate, Retail stores and DC inventory flows and initiatives.Reconcile inventory between various ERP systems (RLM, JDA, and WMI-PKMS).The Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee a team to complete the Inventory Control activities for the Whittier Distribution Center. The position will work closely with other departments to implement programs to reduce loss of inventory.Prepare recurring inventory analysis reports related to operations, retail, sales, purchasing, customer service, regulatory compliance, and shipping. Complete special projects on various issues as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the following job duties, as well as additional responsibilities not listed as assigned:Establishes and executes Cycle Count Schedule in compliance with corporate accountingobjectivesCoordinates and oversees daily cycle counts of inventory vestigates/reconciles cycle count discrepancies (i.e. shortages and overages).Audits process and paper flow for errors and inconsistencies that affect inventory accuracy.Maintains cycle count records to be reviewed by management.Provides weekly reports to management on cycle count activity, discrepancies and shrinkage.Suggests process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and improve warehouse municates and interacts with multiple departments.Reviews and monitors the timely confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventory, outbound shipments, and book adjustment transactions to ensure accurate inventory management records.Coordinates the activities associated with product recalls upon request.Monitors the activities associated with customer return shipments including overages, shortages and damages; communicates concealed damages to manufacturer.Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring it is accounted for and properly handled by dumping, reconditioning, or returning to producing plant.Supervises all inventory control personnel, if any, to achieve objectives relating to inventory control management, provides communication and suggests inventory improvements to supervisor.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Effectively communicate with associates and customers in person and via telephone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary objectivesEnsure compliance with existing and develop/document new policies and procedures governing by SOX. Partner with Corporate Inventory Control to ensure that policies are in accordance with internal accounting practices and SOX narratives.Develop and direct process improvement initiatives and monitoring controls within functional area.
