Senior Systems Engineer

Job Responsibilities: As a Senior Engineer on our team, you’ll use your system administration and development experience to implement, upgrade, and troubleshoot developer support services in an AWS environment.

You will support efforts to incorporate open source tools, automation, and cloud resources.

Your support will enable a broad range of mission application developers across the organization.

You will excel because you are able to apply your technical expertise, working both independently and as part of a team.

You will mentor junior team members and lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions.

This position can be located in Dulles, VA, Chantilly, VA, Springfield, VA, Richardson, TX, or Aurora, CO Technical Skills Required: Must have and maintain an Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI POLY 3 years of experience in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies 5 years of experience with DevOps pipeline tools and technologies, including containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm) and automation tools (Chef, ArgoCD , Terraform, Jenkins) Experience with command line in Linux or UNIX Experience with at least one of the following: Systems administration in Linux systems Troubleshooting across multiple pieces of software and system components Planning and/or executing software upgrades AWS Associate Certification Desired Skills & Credentials: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Python for scripting Excellent verbal and written communication skills BA or BS technical degree (e.g.

computer science) Security CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline 5 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of professional experience.

Ability to obtain Security CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 month U.S.

Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S.

Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $70,000 to $150,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
