The Clinician’s primary responsibilities are to engage members and to coordinate mental health and recovery services that will ensure housing stability and community integration.

This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality provision of direct individual and group therapeutic services and case management services, while fostering teamwork among staff and across departments and programs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual membersConduct individual, family and group psychotherapyDevelop effective, trusting relationships with members, with a focus on facilitating independence and maintenance of improved physical and mental healthCollaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan; review and update it upon completion of goalsAssist management and other Clinicians with program evaluation and modification for future program improvements and growthAssist members with becoming involved in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery reflective of The People Concern’s model which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitationWork cooperatively and cohesively with other members of the HSSP team, including participation in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision, and trainingsDevelop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documentsQUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field of study from an accredited university.Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.Current, valid California Driver’s with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicleAble to transport members in your vehicleOutstanding clinical and strong team-building skillsDetail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, and computer skillsWork EnvironmentCombination of either field and/or office environment depending on positionOn occasion walk or drive to different agency sitesMay/Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments depending on positionMay/Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor depending on positionMay need to bend, stoop, twist and sit throughout the dayRegularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.Responsibilities Common To All Agency EmployeesMaintain a safe work environment and confidentiality at all timesBe proactive, creative, and flexible in determining, evaluating, researching, and resolving issuesOrganize and prioritize multiple activities to meet all external and internal deadlinesMaintain professional demeanor that reflects positively on the agencyDemonstrate respect and courtesy toward othersAble to thrive in a work environment emphasizing teamwork and collaborationRespond in a timely manner in all aspects of communicationWork with minimum supervisionPerform other duties as assignedThe People Concern is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to non-discrimination in employment.
