In this role you will be responsible for grinding and polishing sheet metal and meeting manufacturing requirements.
Primary Duties: Read and interpret assembly blueprints and shop instructions Grind and polish sheet metal Distinguish between sealing surfaces and finish panels to determine appropriate grind process Grind Cold-Rolled Steel metal without weakening or breaking-thru the product Recognize and reject failed welds, breached welds, or insufficient welds Job Requirements: Qualifications: Must be able to lift parts/materials/units weighing up to 50 lbs.
continuously Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
frequently Must be able to assist others in 2-person lifting requirements Must be able to stand, stoop, climb or bend for the entire shift Knowledge of hand tools.
(Grinders, saws, cutting tools, measuring equipment, and various hand tools.) Prior sheet metal or machine shop experience or training is not essential, but helpful.
