SUMMARY
The Communications/PR manager will help support brand and corporate storytelling and communications. Working alongside the marketing and partnerships teams, you play an integral role in the development and execution of brand collateral and messaging on behalf of the company to support a range of initiatives. You will be responsible for crafting compelling communications for both internal company messaging and external media relations. We’re looking for someone who embraces the unexpected, can work efficiently and independently, and have exceptional verbal and written skills to write PR/media and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate knows how to navigate various markets, traditional and trade media, and a news cycle that constantly changes. You are extremely organized, professional, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and go above and beyond.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support the media relations function in developing press releases, media lists, and reactive talking points for major product-focused and campaign announcements
- Secure and coordinate prominent speaking opportunities for C-level members in order to advance the company’s product platforms, reputation, and brand leadership
- Build media lists, editorial, and speaking/award calendars
- Implement overall marketing strategy into various forms of communications
- Consult on crisis management and brand protection as needed
- Monitor media coverage for news of importance, relevant industry trends, and competitors, as well as share with internal members
- Help prepare weekly/monthly PR/communications reports and decks
- Perform research to gather competitive intelligence and develop insights
- Field inbound media inquiries
WE’RE IDEALLY SEEKING
- 3+ years of prior experience working in a marketing or communications role
- Proven success in both strategizing and executing effective marketing and communications campaigns
- Strong communications and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent research, writing, project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams org-wide
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Keynote & Google Suite
- Positive, solution-oriented, and flexible
