The Range Network Systems Engineering & Integration (RN SE&I) contract provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE& I) support to the USAF Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Range and Network Directorate (SMC/RN).
RN acquires services to modernize and sustain the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS), the Satellite Control Network (SCN) and the Space Training Acquisition Office (STAO).ENSCO, Inc.
is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to support Systems Engineering for major Space and Missile Systems Center projects in various stages of acquisition supporting Space Force.
Position is located at Los Angeles, CA.
Duties will include:Perform Information Systems Security Engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, for “in design” Space Force mission systems.Ensure successful demonstration of Risk Management Framework controls and mitigations, which result in Authorization to Operate (ATO), Authority to Connect (ATC), or other identified authorization requirements.Establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.Support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.E., NISPOM, NIST 800, JSIG), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones.Periodically conduct a complete review of each system’s audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.Perform Information Systems Security Engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification as it pertains to DoDI 8500 Series and more specifically DoDI 8500.2(Risk Management Framework).Qualifications Required (Skills)Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering Field, Software Engineering, Computer Science, and/or equivalent with 7 years of specific experience supporting National Space Launch customers in Cyber/ Information Systems Security.Demonstrated understanding and experience with DoD Cyber Security policy and instructions related to RMF.In depth understanding of the system certification processExperience with information assurance risk assessmentsIAT/IAM Level II certification (CCNA Security, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP+CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO), or higher-level certification.Understanding of information security principles, DoD STIGs, and A& A processes for systemsExperience using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsMUST HAVE A CURRENT SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S.
