Employee Health Registered Nurse (EHN) needed for a part-time contract-to-hire opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Woodland Hills, CA.
This clinic provides Occupational, Preventative, and Primary Care for employees that work onsite.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
- At least five (5) years’ of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred experience in: Occupational Health, Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Primary Care and/or Family Practice type setting
- Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation procedures
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Triage and provide nursing services or arrange for higher level of care to employees who become ill or suffer a workplace injury
- Perform employee physical exams and testing per OSHA mandated and contractual obligations
- Maintain medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Work closely with site management, Safety, Human Resources, Leave of Absence Desk and Employee Assistant Program (EAP) as determined
- Collaborate with outside medical providers and workers’ compensation administrators
- Provide wellness materials/information; advise employees on prevention of illness and injury
- Audiograms, spirometry, pulmonary function testing, immunizations/injections, basic first-aid, etc.
- Respond to emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Ability to work Wednesday/Thursday/Friday one week and the next Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Approximately 7:00am-3:30pm (shift times may vary depending on the needs of the business).
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software programs
- Current certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Highly Preferred Certifications: Occupational Health Nursing (COHN), CAOHC audiometry, NIOSH spriometry
