General Job Description
Flutter is an immersive art exhibition located in West Hollywood, home to exhibitions and contemporary art that has been featured around the world. Our cleaner will be a part-time employee and work at least 25 hours per week and will be a member of the Flutter family. The ideal candidate has experience with cleaning of galleries and large spaces, is responsible, has great attention to detail and a good communicator.
Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, responsible for the general building and office cleaning; including but not limited to bathrooms, gallery rooms, and exterior windows
- Sweeping, vacuuming, use of cleaning compounds, and polishing of floors while making sure none of the artwork gets damaged
- Emptying wet trash/recycling receptacles and placing material into appropriate holding areas in alleyway
- Cleaning of exterior areas which including taking garbage to the back, sweeping sidewalk, removal of debris, and in the case of snow making sure that the area in front of building is salted
- Cleaning toilets, washbasins, and other restroom fixtures and floors
- Provide indoor and outdoor grounds maintenance duties as assigned by management
- Cleaning from ladders
- May be assigned to heavy duty moving work
Aesthetic Understanding:
- Supports brand messaging by assuring rooms are clean and orderly
- Ensures daily setup fits the artistic design created for the space
- Is aware of professional presence and acts as a brand ambassador reflective of the company’s values and aesthetic
Requirements:
- Must have cleaning experience of commercial buildings
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be bailable to work on weekends – open availability is preferred
- Flexible with tasks throughout the work day
- Has ability to stand for an extended period of time and lift materials, as needed
