If you are a Licensed Civil Engineering Manager in CA, please read on!The chosen candidate will have experience in civil engineering, project management, and operations management of a large division with demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.What You Will Be DoingThe selected candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the methods and techniques used in the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of transportation, water, reclaimed water, stormwater, wastewater projects, and other heavy civil infrastructure. Tasks will include (but are not limited to):- Managing a major engineering program including scheduling staff, setting work priorities, providing technical support and engaging with clients- Hiring, training, and evaluating staff- Acting as project manager from initial design to completion- Preparing standards and budget, determining feasibility, assessing environmental impact- Ensuring that federal, state, and county standards/requirements are met- Closing out completed projects- Reviewing and approving plans/specs, survey records, and environmental documents submitted by contractors, consultants, and other agencies- Helping to obtain appropriate permits- Initiating and reviewing change orders- Writing proposals for grant applications as neededWhat You Need for this Position8+ years of relevant experience as a Professional Engineer (with 3+ years of supervisory experience) and:- Active CA P.E.
