Senior Financial Reporting Analyst-SEC & Technical Accounting

Rapidly growing dynamic investment management firm in Los Angeles, that offers many internal growth opportunities, is hiring for a high performing Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join the Corporate Accounting team.

The role will be focused on SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and filing SEC documents for various public entities, including 10-Q/10-K, 8-K/earnings presentation, proxy, registration, Section 16

• Coordinate receipt of deliverables used in the reporting documents directly with multiple groups across the organization, including fund accounting, legal and investor relations

• Prepare financial statement disclosures in conjunction with preparation of the U.S.

GAAP checklist

• Review the roll forward and drafts of SEC documents in the Workiva reporting tool

• Coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews with external audit firms

• Review tie outs for the 8-K/earnings presentation, Form 10-Q/Form 10-K and proxy

• Prepare analysis and reviewing legal documents of new entities and funds assessed for consolidation

• Perform research on peer disclosures and implementation of new accounting pronouncements

• Assist in the development and maintenance of globally consistent accounting policies

• Review existing processes for automation and improvement opportunities

• Maintain a strong internal control environment and compliance with regulatory literature

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s in Accounting considered a plus.

CPA preferred.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in public accounting and/or industry experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize under deadline-oriented circumstances

• Strong understanding of U.S.

GAAP

• Proficiency in researching and preparing technical accounting memorandums for complex issues and new pronouncements

Technology Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

• Power BI or other business intelligence tools a plus

• Workiva experience a plus
