Sr. Project Manager

SourceOne Inc., a Veolia Company, is looking for an experienced Project
Manager in the LA Metro area to support our growing energy presence in
California. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing energy
projects both on site and remotely as required. The type of work will be centered
on Energy, Distributed Energy Resources and Central Utility Plant project
development, design, procurement, and construction. The flexibility to travel
outside the LA metro area is required.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
? Customer utility energy analysis, rate analysis and financial pro-forma
development. Creating customer load profiles, performing energy audits,
and identifying Energy Conservation Measures.
? Identifying and working with Utility, State and Federal programs for energy
efficiency incentives.
? Project development including energy modeling, rate analysis, selection of
technologies, feasibility studies, reports, and client presentations.
? Participate in the Project Proposal process to ensure the Scope of Work is
properly defined and ensures that the Project Team has a clear
understanding of the Project Scope of supply.
? Direct all project phases – including engineering (basic and detailed),
procurement, construction and commissioning/start-up.
? Maintain a strategic focus for the project with frequent interaction with the
client to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the
long term goals of the company.
? Manage the execution of the project with a focus on maintaining or
improving the as-sold profit level for the project.
? Track project against its schedule, budget and against objectives,
reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis.
? Prepare periodic management and/or customer reports and presentations.

? Review and verify project estimates monthly.
? Manage project budget and control expenses effectively.
? Identify project scope changes and prepare job change notices for
submission to clients.
? Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements
? Review key project documents including P&IDs, Plot Plans, Operating
Manuals, etc.
? Work with Project Controls to transition the proposed budget into an
execution budget. Tracks costs and reports against budget.
? Provide day to day supervision, both on site and in office, of the assigned
project team to resolve project issues and monitor progress for the client.

? Assist in preparation of and review of client invoices with Accounting.

Qualifications

? BE/BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
? Minimum 10-15 years industrial related project management experience,
preferable in an Engineering or Construction Environment.
? Experience in the construction of power generation facilities required.
Experience in on-site energy or combined heat & power (CHP) projects a
plus.
? Experienced in Construction Management, and familiar with rules and
regulation for construction in Southern California.
? Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry,
government and public contracts on project-related matters
? Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills;
and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all
levels of employees, management, and clients.
? Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.

? Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
? Possesses an understanding of Construction Process.
? Be familiar with mechanical and electrical equipment
? Possesses a broad understanding of each engineering discipline.
? Effective management and leadership skills.
? Effective computer skills; Google applications, Microsoft Office Software,
Autocad, Energy Modeling software and other
? Ability to travel and work remotely
