Responsibilities
As our Ultrasound Technologist Supervisor, you will oversee operations of all technical and clerical work related to the performance of diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
You will be responsible for producing diagnostic images of the human anatomy utilizing both stationary, and portable ultrasound equipment, record patient images via appropriate archival media and maintain departmental standards related to Quality Assurance controls.
You will also be a point of reference for fellows, residents, and new employees, explaining the methods of scanning and equipment operations when needed.
Finally, you will be responsible for supply management, maintaining open, collaborative, responsive and consultative working relationships with the staff and faculty within Vascular Surgery, as well as personnel from other departments.
Collaborate with the clinical managers, medical director and faculty for developing and implementing IAC protocols, performing and maintaining IAC accreditation, developing and implementing technical competencies.
Qualifications
Were seeking a flexible, patient-focused, service oriented professional with these skills, talents, experience and certifications: 7-10 years of vascular technologist experience within the USRVT or RVSGraduate of CAAHEP or CMA accredited sonography programBCLS Allied health field Bachelor of Science Degree highly preferred.
Academic Budget expertise Experience presenting vascular lab topics on PowerPoint to small and large audiences Ability to work in a high volume environment with conflicting priorities.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to train technical staff in clinical applications.
Ability to travel to local and national vascular lab meetings to present PowerPoint on vascular lab education Ability to function as a role model in written and spoken communication, effective counseling, conflict mediation and negotiation, group facilitation and cooperation.
