Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer / Principal Engineer Software based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to design, develop, document, test, and debug software written in various computer languages.

Ensure software standards are met.

Must have the ability to work effectively within a team environment, ability to interface with other groups within the project, well developed problem-solving skills, and ability to working within a dynamic environment.

Works under general direction.

Determines and develops technical solutions to complex problems independently.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

BQs for a Software Engineer 2 are Bachelor’s in Science Degree with 2 years of related software experience; Master’s Degree with no experience.

BQs for a Software Engineer 3 are: 5 Years experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years experience with Masters Degree.

Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, .NET, Java, C/C++ Familiar with Software Design patterns and Object Oriented Design Two or more years’ of experience in Windows Application Development using C# and .NET Framework Current DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP access
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills Works well in a team-environment Previous in-depth domain knowledge of program software design and code preferred Current SCI/SAP access Familiarity with XML and XML schemas Experience developing User Interfaces using WPF and XAML
