Are you ready?We are making 1-day shipping a possibility for our merchants by building a network of sortation centers designed to inject packages into the network of our carrier partners. With daily increasing shipping volumes we have high expectations for 2021 and a need to scale our operations. It’s a huge challenge, which is why we are looking for someone with a passion for managing remote partners, identifying process failings, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing and driving improvements.Can be located anywhere on the west coastWhat you’ll do:* Manage, mentor, and motivate salaried direct reports who are managing multiple third party warehouse relationships across your region* Serve as a point of escalation for warehouse partners to mitigate risks and resolve issues.* Establish a culture of continuous improvement within your region* Responsible for the execution of day-to-day, week to week operational performance in the facilities in your region* Driving Variable Cost per Unit (VCPU) within your region through driving regional efficiencies as well as driving contract negotiations with current and potential third party warehouses that focuses on “gain share, pain share”* Own performance reporting for warehouse partners, including on-time receiving and shipping, inventory accuracy, packing quality, and financial performance.* Consistently hold warehouse partners to strict SLA expectations, providing clear and concise verbal and written reports of performance, and action plans when needed.* Design, lead, and implement continuous improvement projects across their warehouses and ensure deployment of best practices across the entire network.* Facilitate troubleshooting with relevant parties for warehouse partner related problems.* Monitors trends in inventory accuracy, facilitating strategic initiatives to identify root causes and establish short and long term mitigation strategies* Work with our Business Development team on network expansion by negotiating fulfillment partner contracts to ensure alignment, balance incentives, and grow Deliverr network capacity.* Help prioritize resolution of systemic problems, working in coordination with our Growth and Engineering teams.* Lead the recruitment of Operation Managers and Senior Operations Managers to drive region and network growth* Partner with Cross Dock and Sort Center partners to drive efficiencies that support the financial health of Deliverr and increase our customer satisfactionWhat we’re looking for:* 6+ years of professional experience in supply chain, fulfillment, manufacturing leadership, e-commerce, vendor and/or partner management.* 5+ years of professional experience in developing, leading, and implementing continuous improvement experience* 4+ year of experience Lean Six Sigma problem solving methodologies such as Gemba, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, and Leader Standard Work* A successful General Manager will be proficient at solving complex logistics and process challenges as well as possess a strong desire to move quickly and deliver results* Demonstrated collaboration with internal and external business partners to deliver greater operational performance, efficiency, and quality.* Precise communication around external partner decisions, issues, risks and new processes.* Keen ability to distinguish internal versus external problem causes to properly focus the correct resources to resolve issues quickly.* Exceptional prioritization skills to ensure timely resolutions that are appropriate for the severity and impact of the situation.* Ability to adapt in a rapid growth, startup environment.* Strong problem solving skills.* Strong computer literacy skills, including usage of Google Sheets/Excel.* Incredibly hardworking and willing to do what it takes for us to reach our goals.* Must be willing to relocate to the New York/New Jersey or Eastern PA area, Chicagoland, Atlanta, Dallas, or Los Angeles or travel more than 50% of the time.Bonus points for:* Experience working with SQL, creating and running reports.Deliverr is featured in LinkedIn’s 2020 Top Startups List!We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
