Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Experienced Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer (Hydraulic System, Actuation & Control) to supportFlight Controls system design, integration and testing in the Long Beach, CA area.

This position supports flight controls system development through the life cycle including system trades, requirements development, project planning and execution, design and analysis, build, test, qualification, certification, customer delivery and fleet support.

Position Responsibilities:Fundamentals of aerospace, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering principlesSystems engineering principles including System Safety Analysis (SSA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA) highly desirableFunctional, Logical, Requirements Development and decompositionHydraulic System Design, Simulation, and AnalysisHydraulic System Integration and testingHydraulic Systems ArchitectureAbility to synthesize relationships between requirements in several specifications.Experience with lab testing and troubleshooting of technical design issues.Participate in activities related to certification of Boeing products with regulatory agencies.Participate in design reviews and engage in supplier coordination.The position requires flexibility to address emergent issues and important airline meetings off-hours and may require an occasional off-shift work schedule to support the fleet operating 24/7/365.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.

ยง 120.15 is required.

US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree within Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Discipline3+ years of Aerospace Engineering experience3+ years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in design using CATIA V5, ENOVIA and PDM Minimum 1 year experience with 3-D modeling.Experience with aircraft modifications.Experience 7-series Airplane Programs.Experience with 7-series Customer Fleet Support.Experience with Flight Controls, Hydraulics and Landing Gear/BrakesExperience MS Office applications.

Typical Education/ Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
