CNA

Santa Monica Convalescent Center is looking for a dynamic CNA – Smoking Attendant to join our clinical team and provide our residents with an exceptional care experience. As a Smoking Attendant you will lead group and independent smoking activities for the resident population.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises outdoor smoking activity.
  • Lights cigarettes and pipes and attends residents when they smoke
  • Properly stores smoking equipment
  • Reports observations to Charge Nurse concerning the resident’s condition or activities
  • Accompanies residents to the patio.
  • Explains procedures and communicates with resident regarding safe smoke techniques.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant, (CNA) in good standing.
  • Experience with dementia care

License/Certification:

  • CNA Certification (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Required)
