Job Description ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a systems engineer to join our Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team. The GPS SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to the GPS Program Office and other GPS customers. The team also provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities. Team members also provide an enterprise perspective for identification and review of risks and risk mitigation plans and work to institutionalize systems engineering best practices across the GPS organization. Position is located in Los Angeles, CA Duties include: * Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to define GPS system functions and develop functional and performance requirements * Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop GPS architectural views using DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) and Sytems Modeling Language (SysML) * Analyze MBSE Model to derive mission threads and use cases to aid in enterprise-level verification planning * Lead subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process of developing and coordinating an enterprise level specification * Identify proposed changes to technical baseline documents (i.e., interface documents, specifications documents, architecture products) * Prepare and present engineering analysis, gaps, and recommendations to senior leadership Qualifications Required (Skills) * Bachelors’ degree in engineering or similar technical degree with minimum of 14+ years relevant experience or an additional 4 years of experience in architecture development needed in lieu of degree
* Proficiency with commercially available architecting tools such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect
* DoDAF experience
* Proficiency using DOORS or other requirements management tool •Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse group of stakeholders
* Ability to provide a wide variety of technical analyses and program management support to a government customer
* AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A TOP SECRET IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. Qualifications Desired * Graduate degrees including Masters and/or PhD in engineering or other technical field Familiarity and experience working with DoD acquisition organizations
* Experience designing and testing space systems or segments
