Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, an AM Law 100 firm, is seeking a Client Project Manager.We prefer candidates who can work from our Century City office, but will consider other candidates who can work from one of our other U.S.
offices.
Our other U.S.
offices are as follows: Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Del Mar, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Washington DC.

• Utilize proven project management techniques to support the efficient management of the firm’s largest and high profile clients
• Actively lead project planning and design activities for high value, complex projects in a way which improves clarity of purpose, ownership, and understanding of key interdependencies between key projects and subprojects, improving the probability of successful and timely deployment
• Prepare for and lead required engagements with clients; act as key interface between stakeholders to help facilitate team building, improved communication and continued project success
• Ensure effective and timely communication throughout the project
• Engage and collaborate with clients on counseling strategy work
• Provide project status according to appropriate/required cadence
• Identify and track project risks using project management tools andtechniques and develop alternative plans for project completion
• Proactively identify project scope changes, risks, dependencies andconstraints; develop and execute mitigation plans and adjust projectplans, schedules, budgets and resources appropriately
• A large number of the projects will be complex joint ventures and strategic affiliations, merger and acquisitions transactions and private equity transactions which move quickly.
• Participating regularly in client meetings and also may be teamed with client project management personnel to create effective management processes.
• Have responsibility for administratively coordinating due diligence efforts among large teams of our attorneys and client/investment banker/consultant personnel for larger transactions.Required Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of relevant project management experience
• Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to take theinitiative and find ways of driving and executing multiple concurrentprojects despite ambiguity and organizational complexity
• Strong attention to detail and follow through skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Proven project management skills, and accurate sense of reporting,anticipation, risk identification, communication methods
• Strong communication (oral and written) skills and presentation skills
• Ability to analyze data, consciously recognize any errors present anddevelop executive summaries based on interpretive findings;demonstrated ability to execute analytical thought processes
• Strong quantitative analysis, root cause analysis, logical structuringand business case development skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team; excellentnetworking and relationship-building skillsPreferred Qualifications: Experience working in a legal services environment or the healthcare industry, highly preferred.
Having an academic or work background in the healthcare industry, highly preferred.
