In fact, our team of 80+ highly skilled designers, engineers, and craftspeople have been at the forefront in all of those fields for 39 years and counting.The ideal candidate for this role has experience or significant interest in the museum, fine art or themed entertainment industries and is highly collaborative, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial.RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Cinnabar Project Coordinator, you will provide support to your primary ProjectManager on a day-to-day basis by:Generating and updating project and production schedules;Organizing and tracking project documentation;Tracking project resource needs and communicating these to various internal production departments (Paint, Metal, Carpentry);Coordinating construction project documentation such as fabrication and travel
– related expenses, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and other project and contract documentation;Assisting business development staff in composing bids and estimates;Researching potential new vendors and sub-contractors and conducting preliminary vetting of new resources;Ordering samples and materials relevant as required by the project;Maintaining regular communications with internal and external project stakeholders;Coordinating project logistics with clients, sub-contractors and vendors;Attending job-site meetings and interfacing with field superintendents and subcontractors;Providing support services to the project team, such as making travel arrangements, expense reports, and meeting minutes;Participating in quality control process as materials and elements are produced and/or received;Coordinating billing and financial tracking;Coordinating several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems.QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of formal training and/or experience in production design/management, or related field;A proactive and curious mindset;The ability (or eagerness to learn how) to read and interpret architectural and related construction drawings and product specifications;An understanding of or ability to learn about components of scenery and exhibit construction;Fearlessness to ask questions and share ideas;Ability to maintain a sense of urgency in an environment with occasionally long lead times;Exceptional time-management and organizational skills;The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with internal and external contacts;The ability to organize details, prioritize, and meet deadlines;Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, andWord;Knowledge of MS Teams, Airtable, Trello, Scrum, Slack or other cloud-based PM software desired;Basic understandings of how to use SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator and/or AutoCAD are desired but not required;Hands-on construction or fabrication experience is also a huge plus;OUR STORY, CULTURE, AND BENEFITS:Founded in 1982, Cinnabar began as a Hollywood scenery shop, producing sets, props, models, and miniatures for big-budget commercials and blockbuster movies.
