Business Operations Director – law firm

Are you looking to work with one of the top firms in the country?  If so, R & W Group has a great new opportunity!  One of our top law firm clients is looking for a Business Director for their CA offices. In this role, you would be responsible for managing the daily operations and administration for approximately 110 attorneys and 50 business staff employees in the Los Angeles office, and 26 attorneys and 16 business staff employees in the Irvine office. You will closely collaborate with the Managing Shareholders in both offices and the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Revenue Officer to support and reinforce the culture, provide strong leadership for strategic initiatives, and implement Firm-wide objectives.

 

Responsibilities will include collaboratively managing accounting/finance/revenue management functions, human resources, attorney recruiting, marketing, technology support, records management, and space expansion, renovation, and facilities management.

 

The Director’s business acumen must include uncompromising integrity, sound leadership experience, excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, a keen approach to problem solving, and the ability to effectively manage change. Must be willing to directly engage where and when needed to support office operational functions, create and foster a collegial environment of teamwork and esprit de corps. This position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Prior Experience
We seek a professional with a bachelor’s or advanced degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a management or leadership position in a professional services organization. This key role requires an individual with a strong working knowledge of accounting and financial practices to manage the affairs of both offices. The successful candidate must have strong business experience in finance, human resources, marketing, technology, and facilities management.
