Marketing & Business Development Specialist

 

Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP has an immediate opening for a Marketing & Business Development Specialist in our New York office. This individual will serve as a liaison to our General Liability and Healthcare Practices, including related practices such as Transportation, Hospitality, Medical Malpractice, and Long-Term Care & Elder Law. S/he will report to the Director of Marketing and will work closely with our national Marketing Department, as well as with lawyers across the country ranging from associates to equity partners and firm leaders, on key marketing and business development initiatives and plans for these practices.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Interface with practice leaders and lead partners on personal, office, and practice business plans. 
  • Manage standard marketing materials for the primary practices, including editing text for practice pages, newsletters, bios, and other online and print materials.
  • Design and project manage tailored pitch materials for primary practices; assist Proposal Manager with RFPs covering the primary practices.
  • Oversee webinars, in-person events, and sponsorships for the primary practices.
  • Brainstorm and identify new business opportunities for the primary practices.
  • Supervise rankings and awards submissions for the primary practices.
  • Identify and Research key clients and targets for partners and practice leaders.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team on departmental programs such as the experience database.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3-5 years of marketing, business development, or related experience; preference for experience with the legal or professional services industries.
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight or shifting deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs; InDesign experience a plus.
