Production Coordinator (2nd Shift)

WORK SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift (12:00pm- 8:30pm, Monday- Friday)SUMMARY: Production Coordinator ensures that the production department meets its quality assurance and scheduling goals by planning, scheduling, executing, and directing production activities.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Please note the listed duties and responsibilities do not cover or contain an inclusive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.* Oversee all print production operations and departments* Communicate schedules to staff and achieve productivity targets* Oversee the production efficiencies and quality of jobs* Follow-up on custom jobs with QC and customers* Lead weekly department meetings* Coordinate and make arrangements for employee work schedules, time off requests, and shift covers* Provide training to team leaders and employees* Conduct initial interviews of candidates* Submit purchasing requisitions to Purchasing Department for equipment/machine parts* Stay in close communication with Plant ManagerQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:* Strong knowledge of overall pre-press, press, and post-press production* Possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal* Productivity and efficiency focused.* Able to embrace new technologies and productivity standards* Capable of adjusting his working hours depending on company’s needsDESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:* Able to motivate and communicate effectively with all employees* Promotes a harmonious working culture with high team spirit* Strong Communicator – able to motivate a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment* Promote a good working environment with adequate safeguards for health and safetyPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* Employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone* Use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment* Reach with hands and arms* Work under typical office conditions* Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
