Job Details: PRODUCT MANAGER II TREASURY MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?This position will report to the Wire Transfer and ACH Senior Product Manager for Treasury Management Solutions. The individual should possess an end-to-end understanding of electronic payments from client originator through to the bank’s back office and out into the respective payment rails and recipients. Knowledge of domestic and international wire rules, regulations and interfacing bodies such as the Federal Reserve and SWIFT is highly desired. A thorough understanding of NACHA rules and guidelines are recommended and/or having an AAP or working towards the designation. Broad based cash management knowledge will be considered towards the applicant’s qualifications. Other duties of the position will include User Acceptance Testing through both waterfall and agile development, writing executing of test cases and test scripts, developing business requirements, documenting detailed UI/UX defects and the ability to analyze client situations and coming up with creative solutions. This position will require someone who can work with a broad range of bank personnel such as technical support, client support, training, operations, project management, marketing and communications, audit, compliance, data analysts and other product management staff. Treasury Management Solutions DivisionAs a member of City National’s Treasury Management Solutions group, you will make a difference by delivering integrated technology solutions to help clients more efficiently manage their businesses and working capital. This group drives and supports the bank’s cash management products and services that won City National four of its 11 Greenwich Excellence Awards in 2018. WHAT WILL YOU DO?• 1. Manage assigned products/product lines.• 2. Identify, evaluate and implement measures to improve product performance, profitability, competitiveness and accountability.• 3. Identify, evaluate and implement opportunities/needs for product enhancement and development. These opportunities may be identified through: regular market and competitor analysis performed by the product group; solutions developed as the result of client needs; suggestions from the line or Product Review Committee (PRC) or that meet a specific bank initiative or new client niche.• 4. Prepares reports and analyses on assigned products/product lines and presents to Bank Management (PRC, ALCO, etc.) on a regular basis. Focus of reports/analyses may be market or competitive issues, special economic and risk factors, pricing, product strategy, profitability, etc.• 5. Keep up to date on competition, regulation, marketplace, and internal and external issues related to assigned products.• 6. Develops information materials on product features, benefits, requirements, pricing and services, and prepares and executes training seminars as needed. (Includes Marketing One-Sheets and annual fee increase training.)• 7. Review product pricing on an annual basis for all assigned products. Make recommendations and implement including disclosure, training, and colleague communication.• 8. Monitors development activities relating to meeting product objectives, budget, quality standards and schedule.• 9. Recommends and implements programs to minimize costs, ensure optimum output and maintain quality. Advises on the solution of technical problems, priorities, and methods.• 10. Participates in product evaluation; provides recommendations for changes and revisions as required.• 11. Serves as product expert for a variety of issues – advice/guidance on sales, ‘How to position and sell product’, operational support for technical product issues, etc.• 12. Manage Product Management portion of acquisition conversions — product mapping; check orders, product analysis/comparisons, ‘Welcome to CNB’ package support, IRG support, etc.• 13. Represents the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.• 14. Fosters and maintains good relationships with colleagues to ensure that processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels. Acts as business partner by managing expectations and providing guidance and advice regarding assigned product.• 15. It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDMust-Have*• Minimum 3 years of product management experience required.• Minimum 3 years of banking experience required.• Minimum 2 years of experience managing medium to large projects required.Skills and Knowledge• Strong leadership and negotiation skills required.
