Today, there are over a dozen games and expansions available for purchase: Exploding Kittens, Bears vs Babies, You’ve Got Crabs, Throw Throw Burrito, On a Scale of One to T-Rex, Poetry for Neanderthals A Game of Cat & Mouth, Tacocat Spelled Backwards, A Little Wordy, as well as mobile app games Kitty Letter and Exploding Kittens, one of the top 30 premium games on both iOS and Android.Exploding Kittens is looking for a talented Production Artist to manage prepress work for print and digital projects across the Exploding Kittens portfolio. In this role you will own the process of preflight formatting, in addition to collecting, processing, checking and uploading files to printers. Our ideal candidate has 2 to 4 years of experience in graphic design print production or visual arts and an extensive portfolio to demonstrate clear knowledge and expertise. In addition, a keen eye for detail along with a healthy mix of creative and technical expertise is essential. This role reports directly to the VP, Creative Art & Design.HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:* Manage preflight formatting and prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing* Make various forms of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production* Provide art and image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation* Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and external printers and vendors* Create a catalog and reference art for future projects* Collaborate closely with VP of Creative Development, Art Director, Sr. Project Manager, Graphic Designers and Game Development to follow the developmental timeline to ensure tasks are completed to meet designated deadlinesWHAT YOU’LL BRING:* Results oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner, process oriented and a self-starter* Focused and agile with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining creative brand excellence* Organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with logical approach to both the planning and execution of work* Excellent communication skills and the ability to express views in both verbal and written communications* Team player with the ability to contribute to a team of professionals and willing to collaborate and give assistance to co-workers* Diplomacy by consistently demonstrating tact, maintaining positive relationships with all levels of employees and approaching every situation in a professional mannerWHAT WE NEED:* 2 to 4 years of experience in graphic design print production or visual arts and an extensive portfolio to demonstrate clear knowledge and expertise* Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art or a related field preferred* Solid knowledge of printing processes and adept with relevant software applications such as Flight Check, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis in Adobe InDesign, and comfortable using Mac/Apple hardware* Experience with digital content such as websites, social media, online advertising and email campaigns, along with a basic knowledge of HTMLS5, Adobe After Effects and web-development software a plus!WHAT WE OFFER:* Company paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family* Flexible spending account options (medical, dependent care, transit)* 401k with company matching* Flexible paid vacation* Monthly wellness benefit + complementary wellness subscriptions* Complimentary lunches on Fridays (where we play games together!)Please apply directly at jobs.lever.co/explodingkittens.
