Intellectual Property Associate
– San Francisco, CA
Nixon Peabody’s Intellectual Property Practice Group is seeking to hire a transactional associate to be based in one of the following offices: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, NYC or DC.
This role focuses primarily on transactional and operational support for technology transfer and research programs at universities and healthcare organizations, as well as providing general counsel services to early-stage and middle-market businesses.
The ideal candidate will have approximately three to five years of experience in intellectual property licensing and technology-driven transactions.
Experience working with academic technology transfer programs, and supporting life sciences research transactions, in addition to familiarity with the academic research and life sciences regulatory environments is preferred.
Qualified candidates will have experience drafting and negotiating a range of technology and research-oriented agreements on behalf of academic and research institutions.
Experience with similar matters for transactions entirely within the private sector is also a plus.
