Our location in Sylmar, CA , currently has an opportunity for a Software Engineer II.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support our clinical research division who will be responsible for software builds and releases, as well as the configuration of the build tools.

Assignments may include but are not limited to, collecting business requirements and specifications, designing and developing study databases and web based clinical data applications, analyzing data and specifications to create integration tests of new clinical software and ensure appropriate functionality, and reviewing/writing of technical documentation.

Exercises appropriate level of technical judgment in planning, organizing, performing and coordinating engineering work.

Stays abreast of and communicates technical advancements to colleagues and associates.

Routinely uses the most effective cost efficient and best practices to execute processes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Designs and develops clinical trial management systems and other software projects

Utilizes knowledge of the full software development and implementation cycle to define and refine software requirements specifications and computer application needs

Conducts integration tests of new clinical software prior to production release to ensure proper functionality

Develops proactive solutions to avoid or minimize problems resulting in software performance inconsistencies or defects

Collect requirements, design, develops and implements electronic error checking routines and data field’s validation rules to ensure the integrity of clinical data bases

Maintains and supports current/legacy applications end-users by updating or re-designing databases, enhancing functionality, creating ad-hoc queries/reports,

Sets up and designs Case Report Forms (CRF) within the Oracle Clinical application,

Develops additional functionality using Oracle PL/SQL and other development object oriented web enabled tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent years of related work experience

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in software systems analysis, design, programming, and testing

Extensive experience with C# and SQL Programming Languages (Oracle PL/SQL Preferred)

At least 3 years of experience working with .NET CORE

At least 3 years of experience with WebAPI

At least 3 years of experience in ASP.NET Webforms and MVC.

Extensive experience in software development including traditional tools/languages and also object oriented environment (this includes experience in the entire software development process, from collecting project specifications to designing, coding and documenting programs, to debugging, testing and validating systems, to implementation, training and maintenance)

Working experience with a release management system and/or continuous delivery system such as TFS, Jenkins, TeamCity, Jira, etc.

Working familiarity with Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, and Access

Strong verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well and effectively with a team

Strong background in development and deployment processes

Able to do risk assessment and prioritize issues based on our SLAs (end user support, clinical, study support, environment support)

Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to own problems through to resolution.

Preferred

SDLC project experience with .NET MVC technology and knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Knockout.js or Angular.js preferred
