As Controller , you will lead our Accounting team while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements in accordance with GAAP. You will have a mindset for continuous improvement and actively lead process automation across the team. You will be responsible for the management and development of a highly motivated team of accountants within the organization. This position will report to the Chief Administrative Officer What You Will Do: Responsible for overseeing and supporting aspects of accounting management including accounts payable operations, client billing, management and reconciliation of fixed asset ledgers, commissions and expense accruals, tax reporting, intercompany accounting and consolidations, treasury management, among other functional areas.  Responsible for preparing and analyzing Monthly/Quarterly financial reporting package. Manage journal entries, invoices, etc., and account reconciliations for the monthly and annual closing. Responsible for the accurate and timely general ledger and period-end closings. Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed to support decision-making as well as to quantify opportunities and risks. Actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of process improvements that create efficiencies and improve the integrity of the company’s financial reporting system. Recommend, implement, maintain, monitor, and document industry-leading internal controls. Develop and implement financial and accounting objectives, policies and procedures that support company goals. Oversee/prepare external audits and tax preparation ensuring that all requested financial documents and information are available and delivered to the proper authorities What You Will Need: Strong knowledge of GAAP and application of accounting principles Highly detail-oriented, organized, thorough and accurate Superior analytical and strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mind-set Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and high employee morale. This includes taking action to promote a positive team climate, taking responsibility for contributing to the success of the team and working with other members of the team to generate innovative solutions to obstacles. Resourcefulness, taking initiative and making recommendations when appropriate. Relevant system and computer skills required, including proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience with NetSuite, Certify a plus Maintain standards of confidentiality both with respect to Firm business and Firm personnel. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in accounting, finance, math, business administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
