We’re seeking a sharp-eyed copy editor and Proofreader. The editor will be responsible for the quality of content targeted at a well-educated audience. You will work with a team of experienced journalists in a fast-paced environment, where we strive to be the first to deliver news and information to our loyal base of registered members.
Job Requirements:
- Mark up editing and proofreading comments
- Identify all differences between pieces being proofread
- Correcting spelling and grammar while aligning to house style
- Use a structured proofreading process to ensure error-free copy
- Edit, and proofread content as needed or directed by client
- Read for errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Proofread, reviews and edits copy for grammar, syntax, spelling and overall content
- Proofread, reviews and edits copy for grammar, syntax, spelling
- Provide additional proofreading support to other business units
- Correct spelling mistakes and grammatical errors
- Review and edit materials for accurate use of grammar and content
- Edit materials for accurate use of grammar and content using standard proofreading marks
- Ensure that client style as well as in-house style guidelines
