Military Veterans are Encouraged to Apply. Job Details: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? As a Product Development Manager for FilmTrack, you will work as part of a team that develops new products and features while maintaining existing products for the company. You will lead the design and deployment of products and features from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. This is a cross-functional role and you must be able to effectively communicate with all areas of the company to move forward the strategic vision while balancing needs from desperate sources. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers. A Product Development Manager’s key role is strategic but the ability to understand and make tactical decisions that support the long-term vision and company values is crucial. WHAT WILL YOU DO?• Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities• Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.• Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.• Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.• Analyzing and recommending potential partner relationships for the product.WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDMust-Have*• *A minimum of 5 years of delivery/product management experience.• Experience with data-driven decision making (A/B testing, user survey’s, etc.).Skills and Knowledge• Computer Science, MIS or Engineering degree or related work experience a strong plus.• High-level of technical proficiency desired.• Experience with the Media & Entertainment industry strongly preferred.• Prior experience delivering/managing CMS/CRM, Contract and/or reporting systems desired.• This position may require travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America, Europe and beyond.*To be considered for this position you must meet at least these basic qualificationsThe preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
